With a new member, an album on the way, and a fantastic performance at this year’s South Vista Music Festival, it would appear that Junkyard Carnival is going strong as ever. But is that truly the case, or is it a carefully crafted front to assure fans that all is well with their favorite hellions, while in reality the band is barely holding on?

The management was extremely tight-lipped about the circumstances of the recent firing. Could it be that the wild Carnies lifestyle caught up to Wakana Sonozaki before the rest, possibly leaving her unfitting to fulfill her role as a drummer?

And we might be facing some much more painful replacements in near future.

The brilliant frontwoman Lucifer is reported to have posted a series of disturbing tweets a few weeks ago, detailing her early demise, giving herself as much as two years to live. Another publicity stunt, or could it be that she’s already feeling the effects of star sickness?

Moreover, the band’s bassist, who is better known for his brawls and troubles with police than music by now, has been caught on camera exclaiming regular usage of heroin. Is the bad boy Xanxus just trying to keep up his bad reputation, or is he actually overcome with addiction that’s been known to take people to the grave in the matter of months?

Is it too late? Would the music world and teenage population perhaps be better off without questionable rolemodels like this? Or can the Carnies still dispel whatever inner turmoil is causing this undoubtedly self-destructive behaviour and carry on with their legend?

In an attempt to shed some light on this situation, our reporters have reached out to the allegedly reasonable member of the group, Yuffie Kisaragi, asking her if the matters were really as dire as they seem. Unsettlingly, she happily insisted that "well, everyone's gonna be dead eventually,” and subsequently, suggested the journalist team to “fuck off”.

Really? [Luci leans her chin into her hand, interested.] You want to tell me about it?

[ The grin grows a bit more feral. ]

[Snooze you lose, Sharky. But also Luci wants a little something before they head to Squalo's closet. Leather is going to be a lot softer if she's a little tipsy. She's going to be a lot softer.]

Optional? [She smirks, walking backwards towards the elevators.] You know what turns me on, Squalo? Women, men, people in between, and jackets. If we're going to your closet, I think it's going to be a good time.

[ Fair enough. He's probably had enough by now anyway. And wow, half of leather's charm is the fact that it's not-so-soft, but fine. Just as well. ]

[ He grins at her as they walk. ]

Yeah? Wanna know what turns me on? When people know what they want. [ Pressing the elevator button and adding under his breath, ] Or hit me.

[ Is he joking? Is he serious? Is that an allusion to getting clobbered with a stepladder earlier? Anyone's guess, but he looks pretty amused himself at the thought. ]

[Either way, it catches Luci's attention. These are the kinds of things she pays attention to, because most people retract statements like that if the other party seems at all judgmental or hesitant. But people like what they like-- nothing wrong with it if everybody is safe, sane, and consenting.]

You did say you liked it rough at the festival. How though? Hands? Implements?

[She's taking this discussion very seriously, no grins, eyebrows, nothing.]

[ Nah, he's not retracting it. Still grinning even. Although he does shrug a bit, almost as if what he said is somehow a surprise to himself. ]

[ just a casual conversation in the middle of a hallway ]

[The casual-est of conversations-- which is apparently stretching into the elevator. Luci holds the door for Squalo then gets in herself.]

Hm. [She nods, taking it all in.] You think you'd want to try some of that with me? Or after we know each other a little better?

[It's a lot of hair to pull, and while she definitely is getting some great images of Squalo with his arms tied behind his back, hair spread everywhere, and her teeth marks all over his ass, he's allowed to tell her to slow down.]

[ He's gonna give her a bit of a funny look - really, woman? Holding a door for him? - but he's just about selfish enough to take the gesture without commenting on it. So yeah, in they go. ]

If you're into that. [ He sounds amused. ] I'm not about to ruin my perfect record of everyone involved enjoying themselves.

[ That's a pretty good image though. Except the ass bitemarks. Are you gonna peg him or something. ]

[Don't you whine to her, Squalo, she's being cool. People hold doors for people, it's a thing.]

[ WHOA SHIT senpai this is moving too fast. Maybe let's save that part for next time. He generally prefers sticking it in over being stuck into, but hey, it's good to spice up your life sometimes. ]

[ He'll either say the floor or press the button himself, unless she beats him to it (because I can't be bothered to look it up but the penthouses are pretty high up iirc). ]

Depends-- [Luci hits the button Squalo names and the doors shut. Then she's turning to him, getting real close.] Let's see your tongue. [But she knows she's not going to be disappointed-- she's seen plenty of pictures of him licking his cello. She wants that, just a little bit.]

Ooh, am I going to be playing dress-up too? [She grins, contemplating.] Yeah alright. I'd be willing to pose in a few of your jackets for posterity.

[ Some of them might even br official promos, so yeah. He looks right back at her, not moving an inch as she gets closer, and sticks his tongue out. ]

[ Not exactly Gene Simmons material, but it should be enough to work with. ]

[ Thank fuck for fast elevators. They'll be at MANTICORE's floor in no time. Squalo leads the way and sticks his head in to make sure their manager isn't lurking around right now before inviting her in. ]

[Nah, it's not length she'd be interested in anyway-- he looks confident and doesn't balk at the bizarre request. ...and she gets a private showing of that promotional tongue.]

[She smirks and gives him a little show of her own dexterity. 'Silver-Tongued' is not an exaggeration, apparently.]

[But the the tongue-off ends when the elevator gets to their floor. Luci follows, hanging back until Squalo signals that it's clear.]

Huh. Looks a lot like ours, how about that.

[ To be fair, he's always confident. Most of the time, at least. He watches her, then grins, because damn, it's really not an exaggeration. ]

[ And into the suite they go! There might be some instrument sounds from a few doors down - probably Orion practicing like the good boy he is, or maybe someone else - but it seems empty enough, and they'll make it to Squalo's room without running into anyone. Once they're in, he shuts the door and turns back to her. ]

Oh? Figures. They fucking hate customization.

[ He's tried to replace the default red sheets with blue ones only to find them changed back every time he went out for a longer time. There's still a couple blue throw pillows remaining, though. And, well, his room is generally clean and tidy (surprise surprise), but there's sure a lot of instruments laying about. And not just cellos; there's a guitar and even a violin rested against one of the amplifiers. ]

[ He's strolling right for the closet, though. ]

Not a fan of the red, I see. [Luci smirks as she takes in the blue pillows-- Ankh had the same problem in reverse. He wanted red, Virgo wouldn't give it to him. In her opinion, it's a really particular thing to be concerned about, but she doesn't run the label.]

[The other thing she's drawn to is the violin. She picks it up, looks inside, plucks one of the strings.] You know I feel like I should've picked up the violin. Would've been a funny thing to break out during a show.

Nah, I like it plenty. Just not the best choice for bedsheets. Or maybe they want us to sleep less.

[ He opens the closet door and glances at her with a grin. ]

Hey, it's never too late to get into something new. [ The grin goes wider. ] Hell, if you want private lessons...

[ He pulls out one of (so many) leather coats - the floor-length Matrix-like one with lots of buckles and belts and chains - and holds it up for her too look at, eyebrow arched. How about this one. Cold? Hot? ]

[She barks a laugh at the offer of private lessons.] 'Hey guys, I'm off to get played like a violin-- I mean, play the violin. Play is what I mean.'

[She sets the violin down and looks at the coat with a little wrinkle of her nose.] But that covers your ass. I mean, I guess it looks amazing swept out behind a chair but...

Exactly like that.

[ He'll give her a thumbs-up for it, and toss the coat on the nearest surface (chair? desk? amp?) before continuing to dig through the leather. ]
