[Tsuna isn't even bothering with twitter. Once he reads this, he's heading right to her bedroom door in the penthouse. He knocks and calls out hesitantly.]

Nia? Are you there?

[She won't lock Tsuna out. She's afraid that he feels the same way she does.

She's a mess. But she gets up and opens the door just a crack.]

Yes?

Um...

[Oh good. Now that's she's answered the door, Tsuna is at a loss for words. There really isn't anything he can say that would make any of what happened any better. And he has no idea how to even begin helping her with her existential concerns. He has to say something though.]

You... you're not a doll.

[Smooth, Tsuna. Way to just jump right into that.

It's unfortunately the only part he can refute with absolute confidence. Because he's not sure that Blanche won't just get rid of her if he doesn't think she's useful anymore. That could happen to any of them. And he doesn't even know why he exists. Does anyone? But he does know that Nia isn't a doll. She's a person. And his friend.]

I... [She reaches out, opening the door a little more, for Tsuna's hand.] Can I tell you something?

[Tsuna glances down as she takes his hand, and then nods.]

Of course...

[He's even more concerned now. Does she just want to talk about the party? Or is there something else wrong?]

[Then she tugs him inside. She doesn't imagine he'd complain. But she doesn't want to be overheard if their manager is around.]

I spoke with Mr. Blanche after the party.

[He doesn't resist as she pulls him into the room. He can certainly understand being cautious.]

I did too. But... he didn't say much to me.

[Tsuna looks at her curiously, wondering what Blanche might have said to her.]

I didn't speak with him long. He told me... that Ms. Santiago will really kill us if he doesn't protect us.

[She hugs herself.] And that if we don't do as told, he will not protect us.

[He nods slowly. Tsuna could try to sugar coat their situation, and he almost wants to, but that wouldn't be fair to Nia.]

I.... I can believe it. The two of them are... using us for something. I just wish I knew what it was.

[He sits down on her bed, mostly because he's too nervous to stand right now. He takes a deep breath, and tries to keep his voice steady.]

For now.... I think we should try to stay on Mr. Blanche's good side. As long as our bad is doing well, and we don't cause any trouble, he'll have a reason to keep us around.

I-I was telling this to... to someone else here...

And I remembered something awful. I don't understand it. What if he finds out?

Remembered something? What was it?

[And then his brain catches up with the 'awful' part of that statement and hastily adds..]

Um, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to...

It was a strange little man. He looked like an animal.

He said that a-a king... my father had sent him to kill me. That he'd lived a thousand years and his children were just dolls... And I had been thrown away.

I don't understand anything anymore. I don't know if I can tell anyone else at all. [She sniffs. Ankh knows a little bit, and Momo, too, but she hasn't told anyone the full effect of it yet.]

[Tsuna looks up at her with sympathy in his eyes.]

I've had.... visions like that too.

[He won't call them memories. Not yet.]

Not as bad as that, but... weird, at least. I don't really know what they are, but....

[Then he stands back up and set a gentle hand on her shoulder.]

I do know that you are not a doll. And no one in their right mind would ever throw you away.

[She shakes her head. And then she flings her arms around Tsuna.

She's a very touchy person. He said magic words.]

I am glad we're together.

Um-!

[He squeaks in embarrassed suprised when she suddenly hugs him. But then he relaxes into it and hugs her back. ]

Me too... If I didn't have you, and the rest of the band, I don't think I could handle any of this.

[That's gonna be a thing that happens a lot. Nia's the kinda girl who just grabs onto people a lot.]

I don't think I could've even stayed in the band if you were here. [She's still sure no one likes her much.]

[He smiles and shakes his head.]

C'mon, Nia. Aren't you the one who keeps telling me to have confidence? You're good. Anyone could see that.

Even if I am confident, and even if I play well, you're my only friend. [And she doesn't even know if he agrees with that designation. All she knows is that the first time, she recognizes that she's lonely.]

I would be here. I would play. But it's different. You actually liked me. [He's the first person who made it clear he had no intentions of throwing her away since this whole thing went down. This is her best attempt to appreciate that.]

Nia...

[Tsuna never even realized that she felt that way. When they met, Nia had seemed so confident, so sure of herself. But of course everyone has their insecurities. He feels a little guilty. He should have noticed.]

I bet a lot more people like you than you think. You're sweet, supportive, and optimistic. I can't even think of a reason not to like you. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

[... Oh, Tsuna. Honey. She is not any of those things. She is pushy and reactive and super self-conscious in the public eye. She just thought you were like a baby bird or something.

She just holds onto him tighter for that. He has to be the best person in the world.]

If something happens to me you cannot forget me, all right?

Of course I won't forget you.

[Even though he's only known her a short time, he doesn't see how he could forget her. ~~The irony of that promise in a memory loss game escapes him.~~]

But let's try keep anything from happening to you anyway.

She nods before she just kind of... sinks onto her bed.]

I hope these memories stop. I don't want to think of anything else like that.

[These... visions (no proof that they're memories thank you very much) are getting disturbing. He hasn't told her that sometimes when he looks at her, he sees a pretty girl with short orange hair.

A girl he's sure he never met.

Pretty sure. No, he's just not going to think about it. ]

[She shakes her head.] I remembered it when I spoke with Greg about... the idea of just being tossed aside if we didn't perform properly...

[His brow furrows a little as he considers the implications.]
