So it happened when you were talking about a similar topic...

[His brow furrows a little as he considers the implications.]

But everyone has probably has different topics that will trigger it. What a mess...

[Tsuna chews on his lower lip thoughtfully as he tries to make some sense of things.]

Once you know a certain topic will trigger these visions for you, you can try to avoid that topic. It'll just be different for everyone.

But who's to say if that will work? If I ask about princesses or kings or fathers--what if none of those will work again. What if it's been... used up? [She doesn't know how else to put it.

I guess it would be easy enough to test. If you want to. But... isn't it better if it doesn't happen again?

Perhaps, and it is not as if I want it to happen again, but... perhaps it would be better. To try. Maybe we could find something to protect all of us.

[Hmm, he's not sure he likes this idea, but...]

If you really want to, we could try talking about something you think might trigger it. And... see if anything happens.

Um, sure. That seems like a good place to start.

[She's quiet.] The first time... [Her breath catches in her throat.] My wrists were tied behind my back, I think. I don't know what was going to happen, but there was a boy... in a robot. And it looked like a face? [This sounds really stupid. Her face goes red, Tsuna's going to think she's ridiculous.]

He saved me, and he said he was coming to rescue me. His name was Simon.

But the other... There was a man who looked like an animal, and he was telling me about the Spiral King. He said he had many daughters but when he tired of them, he would throw them away. The man was sent to... eliminate me. And he said that it would have been more peaceful if I had died in a valley. That because I had asked my father--[No not her father.] the King why I had been born, he had thrown me away. Because there was no need for dolls to have thoughts.

[A giant face robot is strange, but let's be real everything is strange right now.]

That's awful....

[There's really no other way to put it. Having visions of someone coming to kill you is bad enough without them implying that you aren't even a person. And her own father had thrown her away? Tsuna can relate to that a little. His father took off when he was little, but at least he didn't send any assassins. ~~Not that assassins didn't show up anyway.~~]

The boy... Simon, do you think that animal guy is what he was rescuing you from?

Perhaps. But it seemed he was not the first to try. We spoke of someone named Adiane... It seemed she had tried before him.

The person I am seeing does not seem to be very popular. [Nia you are literally the polar opposite. You're super popular.]

Was 'Adiane' also sent by... the king?

[He won't say 'your father.' Even if that was true, the guy doesn't sound like much of a father.]

And I wouldn't worry. She was popular enough that a guy with a robot came to rescue her. Maybe she had a lot of other friends too, and you just haven't seen them yet.

I don't know. I'm afraid I can't remember anything about her.

There certainly were a lot of people trying to kill her. A king. It seems very dangerous.

Actually, it sounds more like there was one person trying to kill her and he just happened to have a lot of people working for him.

[It also sounds like he was an awful person. And possibly crazy.]

You called him the 'Spiral King.' Any idea what that means?

[She shakes her head. How could she? Was it a particular title?]

[Hmm, this line of questioning isn't going anywhere. Also it's depressing. Let's try something else.]

So what about this Simon guy? Do you remember anything else about him?

[She turns red and looks away from him, wringing her hands.]

My heart races when I think of him. And I keep thinking that he will come for me, or save me. I just don't know from what.

He sounds pretty cool.

[Saving girls with his giant robot. Like some kind of hero. Tsuna wishes he were that cool.

And he's willing to bet a crazy king sending assassins is something she may have needed saving from. But let's not bring the assassins up again.]

What about his robot? Do you remember anything else about that?

[Nope, she's wrong. While she thinks about it--

She remembers soaring high above the clouds. She's in Simon's lap and he's battered and beaten, but he's smiling. She pulls his hands away from the controls, and takes them in her own hands instead. For a brief, beautiful moment, the world is calm and things seem safe, before they fall back toward Earth.]

... It's a very small robot.

[He didn't miss that pause, or the slightly unfocused look in her eyes.]

Did it.. happen again? Did you have another vision?

[She nods but she doesn't look upset. Just dazed.]

His hands were very rough. [She runs her fingers over her own hands and her heart thuds.]

[Welp, that does answer his question. And it seems their little experiment was a success. He's not sure if that's good or bad, honestly.]

Are you okay? Do you want to stop?

No, I... I want to know more about him. [Her heart is still racing in her chest, and she feels... lonely. Like she's missing something.

But she also feels like she knows. She knows she'll be all right. For the first time since the party.]
