Did you come for a monster friend or another human?

My friend Sans and my mom. They're both monsters.

Sans is in the Virgo company. My mom isn't a musician anymore, but Silver says that doesn't mean they let her go and they've probably got her somewhere else.

Oh...I'm sorry for that. I didn't know there were more prisoners than the one we can see. All the more importance to the thing.

It's brave of you to come alone. You are still young as a human.

I didn't either until I got here. We should probably look in their basements.

It's okay. I was alone most of the time in the Underground.

I was alone as a wiggler child also. Not for all of it, but for some, when I decided to try to help others. The friend I am here for is one of the closest friends I met on that journey.

A mom is your chosen guardian, right?

Kind of. Normally a mom is related to you, but I got to choose my mom.

You went on a journey to help people?

[spokethetruth]

I think so yes!

I was a teacher. I tried to teach them ways of living that would improve their lives. Kindness and compassion. My kind are not good at those things with the way they have been taught.

That's so neat! How did you do it?

I had to help some of the monsters not hate humans anymore, but I don't think I really taught them.

[spokethetruth]

It is all learning I think...teaching and then learning. Learning to understand learning to change.

Sometimes you teach others without knowing.

I only had some understandings that the others didn't, blessed by a wiggling without certain hatred. I tried to have them see themselves from my eyes.

You wiggled?

Oh...yes! Sort of speaking. It's the word trolls use for their young kinds. We are insects, and begin as wigglers. Small larvae.

Oh, like Migosp!

Humans call their young kids. Most monsters do too, I guess.

[spokethetruth]

I remember that from language learning but it doesn't come to thought always, I guess. The wiggling...is distinctive.

Most trolls don't care for the young, though. My youth was unusual that way.

[determinate]

Why not?

[spokethetruth]

They do not respect the weak and helpless. Many young die before they ever pupate. I would have, if I had not been saved by my guardian.

[determinate]

But kids are mostly weak. They're supposed to be.

[spokethetruth]

I think so also.

But many troll are born at one time. We expect many will die before becoming old and pupating. It causes our kind to be cruel. Uncaring. Those that die are called unworthy.

[determinate]

A long time ago, there was a war between humans and monsters. The humans won, so they locked all the monsters underground forever. Then there were stories about how monsters were bad and scary, and that's why they had to go down there.

I guess it's like that. People want to say they were right.

[spokethetruth]

Yes...They want to justify their cruelty against other kinds, and so they choose to believe their lies. But that is the different teaching can make, if they listen enough.

What are monsters actual?

[determinate]

Pretty much just people. Most of the ones I know are nice.

Humans were just afraid because they can take our souls after we die to become strong, but no one was even doing that then.

[spokethetruth]

The potential of change is enough to fear many...the one to strike first is often the victor. It is a terrible way to be, to punish for crimes not yet done.

I think my own planet is not the only one to have these struggles. My view has been limited.

I think most places have problems. But this is the only other planet I've been to.

[And obviously this place is like, super flawed.]
