Rescuer network-voice (I hope I did this right)

[Several days after the rescuers go their separate ways, a message comes across the communicators. It's a quiet, even voice that may be familiar to the few he's spoken with. Of course, this is Kuroko, so it's entirely possible they've forgotten him. Either way...]

I've found a job. I'm still in need of somewhere to stay, however.

[And, almost as an afterthought.]

I have a dog. But he's very well behaved. We would appreciate any help that could be offered.

[A tiny bark corroborates this statement.]

[Except for the upside down bit. He's just... not going ask how she managed that.]

Good. It's hard to wear this while wearing my other headgear, but I think I figured it out.

[ Which she has to wear to help disguise her non-human ears. ]

[He's not sure what she means by 'other headgear,' but if she figured it out then Kuroko is not going to worry about it.]

Are you doing well? I haven't had much contact with our group since we split up at the warehouse.

I am. I'm staying with some of the others in an apartment and working on finding work.

[ She laughs a bit at how she phrased it. ]

Finding a job can be difficult. Honestly I think I just got lucky.

[Now if he can figure out the housing thing he's set. You know, as soon as he figures out how to get his friend away from the evil record company.]

What are you doing?

I'm working at a small cafe called 'Sweet Dreams.' The owner is very kind.

[woomy]

That sounds nice. Maybe I can visit, or would that blow your cover?

[ She looks human enough if she keeps the hat on. Her excuse is she just wears heavy makeup around her eyes. ]

[invisiballman]

I don't think it would be any trouble. As long as you don't mention anything about the mission.

[woomy]

Okay! When I get some money, I'll visit.

Does your dog work there too?

[invisiballman]

In a manner of speaking.

[His dog is proving to be extremely skilled at pulling in customers. Mostly by being cute.]

I bet he's really popular. Team Dogs won for popularity back home.

So far he's been extremely popular. Dogs are very charismatic.

[It's a good thing too. He's pretty sure that concern for his dog going hungry is what actually got him this job.]

What's your dog's name? Does he get to wear a name tag and a little apron?

Tetsuya.

[Since he isn't Tetsuya here, Kuroko doesn't bother with the #2 on the dog's name.]

He doesn't have an apron yet, but I think my boss would probably get him one if I asked.

[It might even help business.]

[ She wishes she thought to bring her sea bunny with her, but he would probably really stand out in this world. ]

He'd probably look really cute in it.

If she does give him an apron, I'll send you a picture.

[Because it probably would be pretty cute.]

You could also stop by. He loves to meet new friends.

That sounds like a really nice place. I'll come by to see the both of you.

[ And hopefully his housing situation has been figured out. She doesn't feel right offering her place when she's not the one paying for it. (At the moment) ]

[Which we can either handwave or she can come visit on his open post. ]

Ah, I don't know if I can let you stay with me and the others, but you can stay for a few nights until you find something more pemanent!

[He's working at a cafe, so it's not likely to be all that difficult.]

Thank you, Usagi-san. If it wouldn't be too much trouble for your roommates, I'll take you up on the offer.

Even a single night would help.

OH! Ah, I have to ask the others, but I'm sure it will be fine! Even for just a few nights! Last thing we want is you living on the streets!

I appreciate the concern. Although I'm more concerned for Tetsuya than I am for myself.

[The dog yips again. Not really sure what they're talking about, other than it has something to do with him. Which is always good, right?

It's also still a little strange for him to call the dog 'Tetsuya' considering he's '#2.' But since Kuroko is Kai Takase now, this is easier than explaining the dog's name to people.]

Did you not find anyone you wanted to live with, though? [That was a problem.] Or are you going to try and live on your own with Tetsuya?

I'm sure there are plenty who would want to live with you!

Living on my own would be too expensive. But I hope to find something soon. In the worst case scenario, I might ask around to see if anyone would take Tetsuya in.

[He'll be alright, but he hates to think of the dog sleeping in the cold.]

I wish we could take Tetsuya in... everyone might yell at me, though. [Because between her and Kirby, well, let's just say Usagi is going way hungrier than she's used to because of that pink marshmallow.]

[He smiles ever so slightly. Usagi is really sweet.]

Please don't worry about it, Usagi-san. You're already doing a lot to help us out.

We really need to find you a place to stay, though. Do you have a job? Maybe you can ask one of your coworkers to help if we can't find anything.

[She didn't want him to end up as one of the homeless.]

Yes, I do have a job. At a small cafe. But the owner has been so kind already, I don't want to take advantage of her.

[He's also a little guilty that Usagi seems so concerned now. Kuroko never meant to worry anyone.]

Yeah... but you can't be on the streets.

[invisiballman]

I'll manage something. I can be very adaptable.

[he tries to put as much confidence as he can into his tone. He really doesn't want to worry this poor girl. Especially after she's been so nice to him.]

Just don't go running into the forest or anything.

I will do my best not to become a forest dwelling wild man.

[He's joking, but none of the amusement he's feeling makes into that even tone of voice.]

[Okay, now even he can't keep the smile down. Usagi is really adorable.]

I really will be fine, Usagi-san. You don't need to worry.

I'll ask Usagi and the others, but I don't see why you wouldn't be welcome with us.

[He does not want to be the only boy in the house]

I've spoken with her already. She did offer to let us sleep on your couch for a few days.

[He certainly wouldn't turn down a longer arrangement if her housemates were okay with it.]

If you need it, I'm sure you could stay with us if you like, at least for a while if not permanently.

[ Kyoya will object less than he would normally since he likes animals. ]

That would be very helpful. Even a few days would give me more time to look.

It would not do to let you stay outside, least of all in an unfamiliar world such as this.
