Network faces difficult decision showing hit game show Fairy Trials

This weekend has been rough for Sevetop Entertainment and the producers of LBC’s Fairy Trials as local network officials discuss whether or not to continue airing reruns of this season’s episodes as originally planned. The show itself has all the ratings and fanbase to keep its Friday night time slot throughout the summer. This isn’t a discussion about cancellation or the next season premiering in Fall. No this is a serious decision in the wake of tragedy.

For those who don’t know it, Fairy Trials is a game show where contestants compete by overcoming obstacle courses and playing odd games to save a “royal” from danger just like a knight saving a princess in a fairy tale. Courses are designed to resemble real fairy tales and the sets and costumes match accordingly, making the show extra attractive to fans of fantasy. In earlier seasons family members and friends of the contestants played the part of the royals in need of saving but this season Sevetop struck a deal with several other entertainment companies and all twenty seven episodes of this season featured celebrity guest stars. Some stars even competed instead of laying in wait as royals.

The problem is the majority of the guest stars this season were musicians from Virgo Entertainment and Pride Records, both companies which have recently lost multiple musicians in accidents and other incidents still under investigation. Many of those lost had guest starred on Fairy Trials. LBC advisors have called into question whether or not to air these episodes, sparking a heated debate.

While some officials saw this as an opportunity to present the show as a memorial rerun for those who have passed, others argued that reruns should be put on hold until all the death investigations have been completed. The internet has already lit up with conspiracy theories suggesting the deaths were faked or that a homicidal criminal is targeting the music industry.

LBC released an official statement yesterday saying that the decision is still being made and that they are practicing caution in hopes of properly honoring the memory of those passed. This Friday at least night Fairy Trials will not be airing.
