Trouble In Paradise for Defying Atmosphere?

It used to be that fans of a good romance could look no further than Virgo's Defying Atmosphere to get exactly what they wanted to find. For the fans of mystery, there was the supposed fling between violinist Rarity and guitarist Marty McFly; for those who love an out and out relationship in the spotlight, they had band frontman and bassist Greg Universe's steady romance with keyboardist Lenneth. Unfortunately, romance fans have found their dreams, daydreams, and fanfiction fodder in shambles, as Defying Atmosphere seems to be falling from grace in the relationship department.

It all began with Rarity's sudden and not satisfactorily explained departure from the group. Virgo spokespeople have assured the public that it's a temporary health concern and nothing to worry about, but we at the Globe aren't so sure. Why? Because not long after Rarity left, Lenneth picked up her old role as local Ice Queen, and Greg Universe has been courting the spotlight like it's his real lover. They get along in the public eye, sure, but it looks like the sparks that used to fly between them have fizzled out. This is, of course, what happens when the third member of your illicit threesome departs the band in a hurry and doesn't look back.

That's right: evidently one woman was not enough for Mister Universe, or maybe Lenneth thawed out to bring a companion into the fold. Either way, it crashed and burned - likely under the pressure of the upcoming festival - leaving Rarity on the outs with the band itself and Universe and Lenneth barely speaking to one another, with Marty and Reimu left to pick up the slack. Hopefully the two can find solace in each others' arms. We at the Globe will certainly be waiting to see romance blossom in adversity.

Lenneth @lennethdefyatmos
Rarity was lovely. I should have been so lucky.
