RESCUER CONCORDANCE

Greetings, fellow Rescuers. It seems time is of the essence. Now, more than ever, we need to work as a team to save as many musicians as we can before the month is out.

This would, of course, be much easier if we all knew which musicians are in fact abductees.

Has some sort of concordance been made? If not, I propose we make one. Photographs shouldn't be hard to come by, considering the nature of our quarry's imprisonment, but also knowing which bands they belong to, and perhaps a little about their true histories and personalities might be helpful? That way we won't pass by an opportunity simply because we were ill informed.

It's like a list, but with more information. Instead of just writing their names, we'd also be including photographs and some relevant information on each person, so we can help each other out better.

Did you come here to rescue someone specific? If so, what is their name? What do they look like? How do they act?

Oh! That's a good idea.

I came to get Sans. He's with Vandalism in Progress, that's a Virgo band. My friend Papyrus came to get him too - he's Sans's brother.

Sans is kinda short and round, and he likes to make puns and not work. He's always been nice to me. But he knows about a lot of the stuff happening here now, and it's scary to not remember things like that. Like, when you remember something that didn't really happen and you don't know why. Last time I saw him he was really stressed out.

[It's not quite the truth; it weaves and ducks under what Frisk knows about Sans. He was worried about a lot of things long before this. But they never entirely understood those, and it's his business anyway, not theirs to tell to strangers. He's definitely worried about all this.]

I can send you a picture of him. But he's supposed to be a skeleton. He's turning back into one, so if you see a short skeleton it's probably him.

They took my mom and my friend Undyne too. But they aren't performing anymore.

Silver thinks they keep retired musicians somewhere just in case, but we don't know where.

I see. I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe we'll be able to learn something from Xie An that will help locate them, assuming they're still here to be located at all. What were they like?

My mom's name is Toriel. She's a boss monster - they're big with white fur and kinda look like goats. But on two legs and with paws instead of hooves. She takes care of everyone. And Undyne has blue scales and red hair and an eyepatch. She likes to yell and suplex things.

I can send you pictures of what they look like as humans. They're still online. I don't really know if they acted different as humans or not, they were gone before I got here. Sans told me about them.

That would be useful, yes. If they're here to be found, we'll find them.

How well acquainted with Sans the musician are you? Does he know what's going on?

He knows me. Some of the things he remembers about me are fake. But we've talked, and he knows we're friends, and most of what's happening. As much as I do. He's part skeleton again now. So he knew something was wrong already.

The only thing he won't listen to me about is his brother. I think they won't let him remember that.

I think a concordance would be a smart idea to help the people not too familiar with the people they are rescuing, in Pride or Virgo. Granted I do have some concerns.

Some of us do not have the luxury of knowing the brainwashed or anyone here. How would we collect information?

I don't know of anyone from my world here, so any musicians I know that are kidnapped are the ones that other people tell me about...

[ Which is a problem for the rescuers. ]

Do you think they're the ones with robo managers?

Hm, that may be a good indicator. Or at least a clue to investigate the members of those bands more closely. Do we know conclusively which bands have robot managers? That'd be a good thing to track as well.

Uh... I dunno. How will we find out without trying to bust them open?

X-ray vision?

Do you think someone here has that ability?

Otherwise there are other things that can be tracked. Perhaps an engineer could come up with a visual code that would cause them to say a specific phrase when they see it.

Assuming we have engineers among our ranks...

I didn't really hear anyone with that, but maybe someone's hiding a secret power.

[ She tries to think of what else they can do beyond powers and secret backdoor passcodes. ]

I've come to rescue Marty McFly from Defying Atmosphere. Brown hair, blue eyes, may or may not 'rock the mullet'.

He always had aspirations of becoming a rock star, to the point where I've wondered whether taking that from him is right. But something truly catastrophic is around the corner, we can't afford to wait.

But the Marty I know is as rebellious as he is kind. In my hometown, the masses feared and resented me based on local legends of experiments gone wrong. He was the only person to see any other side of me than the deranged scientist of their imaginations, even if my ambitions sometimes baffled him.

He's sometimes rash, sometimes full of bluster to cover for perceived issues, but as loyal and loving a friend as anyone could ever hope for. He's saved my life when I was oblivious to my oncoming tragic fate in the past, the very least I can do is return the favor.
