Doctor to receive Honorary Degree!

Rumors abound in Vista City of an upcoming award’s ceremony for Doctor, the cellist for the hit pop classical group Flowers over Bones.  Doctor is said to have long lamented failure to complete his degree at Julliard, and it seems like the board of directors for the university has heard his wishes and feels compelled to grant them.  Paperwork has been in the works for some time, but the intent is clear.  To bestow an honorary degree upon the famous musician, and make him a legitimate Doctor.

The origin of the title is something of a mystery among fans, but one popular bit of speculation is that he was actually a disgraced medical doctor who found a new calling in music.  The performer could not be reached for commentary, but it’s this reporter’s professional opinion that there’s some truth to this.  Given his obvious talent and staggering intellect but somewhat quirky demeanor, it’s entirely possible that Doctor is or was in fact tied in some way to the medical profession.  In what capacity we do not know, but we do intend to find out.

The ceremony is to be set sometime late this spring, likely to coincide with Julliard’s official graduation ceremonies.  Whether or not Doctor and his band will be in attendance is anyone’s guess, but it’s theoretically possible that he will be giving the commencement speech, and several students have admitted to sending petitions requesting a concert be put on by Virgo Entertainment’s rising star band.  Keep this in mind, if you’re reading, Virgo Execs!
