Virgo Beach . . . Haunted?

Yukti Banerjee, Reporter

Could there be a ghost near Virgo Entertainment’s headquarters?

“I saw her on the beach,” said Andy Flaverly, a college student and one of several who witnessed one of the alleged hauntings. “Me and my girlfriend, we went to this secluded area in the beach, to – you know – make out? We built up a fire in one of those little cave nooks in the rock. And there she came, straight out of the water, just walking out of the water – which, let me tell you, that ****’s cold this time of year! She was, like, blue. All blue, like she’d been underwater for years. And she stood there staring at us, dripping, and her eyes were huge, glowing. All of her was glowing. All of a sudden, next thing I know, there’s this ten-foot tidal wave, and it drowned the fire and just about drowned me and [my girlfriend]. Man! I haven’t stopped shaking ever since.”

Two other accounts of sightings of a similar blue, ghostly woman have cropped up in recent weeks, according to locally-written blogs. Seeking an answer for her presence, one blogger dug into historical records and found an entry about a hapless couple 70 years ago who tried to circumnavigate the globe, only to meet with disaster as their boat encountered a storm and sank. Only the man, Albus Kissenger, was ever found; his fiancée, Edna Hoggindorf, was swept overboard and never heard from again, despite one of the most relentless searches of the day. The accident occurred only a handful of miles from Virgo Entertainment headquarters.

Unsolicited by Virgo, a local paranormal investigation team deployed to evaluate the area on Thursday and concurred that they found abnormal levels of ghostly presence. Could this be the long-lost, hapless Edna, her raging soul doomed to wander the beaches in search of her way home?

One can only hope that Virgo Entertainment keeps its doors locked at night and its musicians stay far from the beach.
