Still better if there's only one duck. All those horses could run off in a hundred different directions and infect others with the disease.

I don't know why I'd be handling the animal. Seems more like a job for animal control.

Cellists? That's an odd group to be standing against the duck-horse epidemic. Are these animals or their disease some how weak against cellists?

Or perhaps we cellists are resistant to the epidemic for some reason. -I can't think of any actual reasons that would single out cellists and not include bassists or other string players in general.

How would you imagine this scenario?

Some sort of disease or parasite causes ducks to grow twelve times their size and go on violent rampages...

I don't think cellists alone would survive. When you think of what they might possess that would deter the diseased angry birds, there are others who would share those things. So... other string players like violinists might still be around or instrument craftsman or even carpenters. It could have to do with the material that makes up the instrument- then those groups might be appropriate. The ducks might hate certain types of wood or cleaning solution or wood polish. -Or horse hair from the bow?

Unless it's the sound of the instrument that they don't like. There would be plenty of survivors in that scenario since all sorts of instruments and objects can replicate the sound frequency of cellos. A recording might very well work!

Or if cellists really are the only ones left, it must be because they were locked away some where safe while everyone else died.
