Capture the Flag's got teams. It doesn't matter how many as long as it's even. Each team's got a territory and a flag, and they hide the flag somewhere in their territory. The other team has to go get it, but if they catch you while you're there they can send you to jail.

I've never played paintball but I guess you run around and shoot people with paint pellets. And then they're out.

Rainmaker! Capture the Flag sounds like Rainmaker! We take the Rainmaker from the middle of the stage and try to get it inside the bad guy's turf while they try to take it to ours!

[ The excitement is clear in her voice. This is something closer to home. ]

And I guess all Ink Battles are kinda like paintball only there's not really an out. Just respawning.

What's respawning?

[woomy]

When you get splatted, and you have to go back to your spawn point to respawn and get back in the match.

[ She's still learning what words are common Inkling vocabulary and what others understand. ]

[determinate]

What's splatted?

[Luckily Frisk is very patient.]

It's when you get hit by the enemy's ink too many times and burst into the enemy's color. You kind of spirit back to the spawn and reform. Then you fight again.

[ Others might call it dying and resurrecting, but she doesn't actually die and won't as long as the spawn point has power. ]

Does it hurt?

Yeah, it's not very fun, but sometimes you gotta take the splat for the squad to move forward.

Yeah, I guess.

We should all play games sometime. I guess we can't all be together in a park or something though.

[woomy]

That'd be fun, but you're right. It'd be dangerous to have everyone in the same area at once.

[determinate]

It's too bad. We should all hang out later.

[woomy]

I agree. Maybe we can have lunch together.

[determinate]

At least in little groups of people who don't live together. It's good we're living together but we should all know each other too.

[woomy]

Yeah, we may have to mix things up later, and we need to spread information. We can use these, but sometimes being in person works best.

[determinate]

Yeah, it's better to meet friends. We should recognize everybody too.

[woomy]

It's already going to be hard enough with everyone having to be in disguise, so yeah. That's a good plan.

[determinate]

We'll set something up soon. That way people won't just go with people they already know.

[It's great to have friends and all, but that would kinda defeat the purpose.]

[woomy]

And there are times when you have to switch who you're with, so it would be good strategy too.

[ Again, she's thinking about Ink Battles and how teammates can get shuffled around. ]

Yeah. Nobody should be left alone.

[Frisk just worries. What if something happens to one group? Whoever's left will need a safe space to run to.]

[woomy]

[ There's quiet on Agent 3's end for a moment. She remembers when Cap'n Cuttlefish was captured and that silence, the uncertainty of what she should do until Agent 1 and Agent 2 contacted her. ]

It's a danger we all risk here. We can try to have semi regular check ins to make sure everyone's okay.

That's a good idea. I don't think everybody lives with someone.

[woomy]

It'd be a bad idea to have it at the same place and time. Are you good with coming up with code or schedules?

Or know anyone like that?

[determinate]

I don't know. I've never really had to use codes before.

I'm good at puzzles.

[woomy]

Maybe a puzzle could work if we could all solve it.

[determinate]

But then other people could too.

It would be better to have a code only we knew.
