A New Superhero in Vista?
By Shen Annie Gains
Is Roy Mustang of MÄNTICORE a vigilante protecting the innocent? We at the 'Vista Sun' have gone to investigate!
As you no doubt recall our prior article on the Square-Haired gang calling themselves Garnet of Cosmic Indulgence only true fans, we at the Sun may have left out the most important part!
Some of the square-haired gang have come forward to the Sun to explain their side of the story, and in their explanation, many of them mentioned the involvement of none other than Roy Mustang coming to the rescue to the one they cornered! The gang explained:
"That he gave quite the heartfelt speech to the us and warned us not to continue with our actions lest we face like, dire consequences. It was really moving, ya know? I didn’t know he could speak so well. I mean, Goddess Garnet is obviously still the BEST, but it was clear that he’d given such a speech before, like this was old hat for him or whatever."
While certainly not enough to suggest a vigilante agenda on his part, he has been seen sporting a few new injuries and keeping odd hours. A Pride employee who works closely with the band and who wishes to rename anonymous mentioned that Roy Mustang is often gone at night or at least, he seems incredibly tired in the morning and sporting even more bruises and wounds, that he was even walking with a cane of late! While some might suggests that this could just be a sign of someone who is possibly showing his age, there have also been recent reports of less crime around Pride Records.
Is this his doing? Is he fighting and protecting the weak? And if he is, should we really be alright with this vigilante behavior? The Sun spoke to a police precinct and we were informed that no report regarding the incident was made, but some of the gang members did come in pleading for forgiveness and are now doing community service for the assault. Did Roy Mustang go back to find these members and force them to turn themselves in lest they face him instead? Are they afraid of him?
It is a hard image to juxtapose, but where did those injuries come from if not from night time vigilante heroism?
Regardless, we at the Sun welcome the decrease in crime around Pride Records, though we strongly discourage any vigilante-actions in our readers. If you wish to find out how you can make Vista a better place, we have a contact number to volunteer groups and community outreach programs a bit further down the page.
