Ryuko Matoi, bassist for Pride Records' MÄNTICORE, is hardly the spotlight-hogging type. Apart from the occasional fistfight, she seems a perfectly normal girl, if a little out of place in her band's lineup. But what if I were to tell you that she is not, in fact, normal?
While we do not have much about Ryuko herself, and we were not able to obtain anything so damning as an interview, there are a number of facts about Ryuko's family that we were able to gather that seem very suspicious indeed. Not only suspicious... but extraterrestrial.
Ryuko stays out of the spotlight because, sources close to her say, she may well be part alien, born of some depraved mating between human and beast from space, observing humanity for some sort of evil scheme to take over the world and invade! Her position is ideal, and her confrontational attitude could well be a cover for judging the strength of the common human. She has been shown to exhibit classic alien failings to understand Earth culture, such as eating lemons as though they were apples, the amount of meat she seems to eat, her lack of a lover, or her strong interest in fashion despite being in a metal band. The "coincidences," as always, become harder to ignore the more pile up!
Is there some hideous alien puppetmaster behind her, some evil "mother" who rules over her with an iron fist? Could she have "sisters" running private militaries or involved in corporations to judge their strength, and could her "passion for fashion" perhaps even indicate an alien interest in weapons based on clothing??? We cover ourselves in clothing every day! I know I'll be thinking about that when I get dressed for the next few weeks. So I suggest you stay alert, reader: Ryuko Matoi may not have admitted it yet, but there is certainly more to her than meets the eye.
