Such behavior from one of Virgo's?
by Brando Spaghetti
December 5th late into the night and well into drinking hours Ryouta Kise, the bassist from the hit band Surviving Friday, reportedly sent multiple drunk texts to nearly his entire contacts list. Including photographs. Shirtless photographs.
Fans may all ready be aware of Kise’s background in modeling. Before joining Surviving Friday he was gaining a reputation for his work in the fashion industry, appearing mainly in clothing ads aimed at teens and young adults. For whatever drunken reason Kise decided to make use of old photos from his modeling days and more recent selfies in a mass texting mess that night. All photos feature Kise alone posing either shirtless or nearly shirtless, wearing either pants or swim wear. To most fans who happened to receive photos it was a sexy and fun surprise. To a number of professionals in the entertainment business it was an unwanted bother, border lining harassment. As many people as there are entertained and amused by Kise’s texts that night, there are many others who are outraged by his lack of professionalism.
“I am sorry to say I will no longer be working with Mr. Ryouta.” Sharon Paca, one of Virgo Entertainment’s top stylists told us. “I don’t have time to deal with irresponsible individuals who pester their co-workers with drunk texts at two in the morning. I’d expect this type of behavior from Pride but not from a Virgo musician. I hope he has learned his lesson.” Paca is among multiple respected Virgo employees disappointed in the young bassist.
We reached out to Yama Darzi, the manager of Surviving Friday, for comment. “This won’t happen again. On behalf of Kise and the rest of the band, I apologize. I think we can all agree this was one bad judgment call by a still growing young man.”
However not all of individuals upset by the texts are satisfied with an apology from the manager. Even some fans of the band are demanding a direct apology from Kise himself.
“I was with my boyfriend when I received Kise’s text.” Matthew Reo was among fans who expressed their upset online. “When my boyfriend saw the photograph he thought I was cheating on him and stormed out! I want my boyfriend back!”
We tried to reach Kise directly but have yet to hear word directly from him about the incident.
